Poha can be prepared very quickly. It is a quick snack that can be made in between busy work. This snack made from thick rice is healthy and very tasty. The flattened rice ball is called beaten rice or poha.

Ingredients required to make Poha are as follows:

●1 cup Poha

●2 onions (chopped)

●1-2 green chillies (chopped according to spiciness)

●½ tsp mustard seeds

●½ tsp cumin seeds

●¼ tsp turmeric powder

●A pinch of ginger

●8-10 curry leaves

●¼ cup roasted peanuts

●2 tsp oil

●Salt to taste

●Lemon juice

●Fresh coriander (chopped)

Peas, carrots, tomatoes, cashews, raisins, and coconut are ingredients that can be added or substituted.

The method of making Poha Recipe | flattened rice recipe as follows:

●First wash the poha in the same way as you wash rice for a few seconds and soak the poha in water for 10 minutes. Then drain it until the water is completely drained from the poha.

●Then put a pan on medium heat. Once the pan is hot, heat 2 to 3 tablespoons of oil.

●Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and fry them.

●Then add the chopped onion and fry it until it turns slightly brown.

●Then add the chillies and fry for a few seconds and add the pre-fried peanuts. At this stage, vegetables like carrots, potatoes, capsicum can be added.

●Then add turmeric powder, salt and sugar to the pan and mix well.

●Now add the soaked thick rice to this mixture and mix well and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the mixture is hot.

●Turn off the heat and add lemon juice to taste and mix well.

●Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
