Ghee – 1 cup
Besan – 3 cup
Turmeric – a pinch
Powdered sugar – 1.5 to 2 cups
1/2 teaspoon of cardamom(elaichi) powder.

Add besan to the ghee and start stirring continuously.
Keep roasting on low heat until the besan turns golden brown and releases a nuty aroma. (This may take around 15 – 20 minutes) Add a pinch of turmeric for a nice golden colour.
Once the besan is roasted, turn of the heat and let it cool slightly.
Add cardamom powder, roasted and chopped cashewsand almonds.
Mix in the powdered sugar and combine everything well.
Let the mixture cool completely until it thickens.
Take small portions and roll them into round laddoos.
